The eight annual "Come Fly With Us" Kite Festival took place May 3rd at Overlook Park. It seemed to be raining everywhere BUT Overlook Park. Those that attended had a great time. Highlights of the day were: The Memorial Fly of "Wind Beneath My Wings" by the Snyder Family in memory of Bill Snyder who was the inspiration of our festival; The "Red, White & Blue Fly" in honor of our troops; and special guest "Ben Franklin" of Ben Franklin Plumbing and their FREE Kite Make-it Workshop. DJ Rockman Ed provided music for the day. The "Eye Scream" Truck was full of treats along with the Parkman Congregation Church Youth Group with their candy sales. The 55+ Club provided a bake sale. The Chamber of Commerce had their "Signature Chile" along with other refreshments. Thanks to all that helped to make our Festival a success!
