2008 Memorial Day Observance

Addressed by Parkman trustees Patrick Joyce, Kevin O'Reilly, and Lucinda Shape-Gates, Parkman hosted an annual tribute to Parkman Veterans.  This year we honored Dennis Testa, a Vietnam Veteran who passed away from cancer caused by agent orange.  Observance was by his father Connie Testa, the VFW Post 9678 and family/friends at the Overlook Park.

Following this salute was a parade to the lower cemetery and a traditional Flag raising by the Boy Scout Troop #76 at the Parkman Memorial Park while the Cardinal High School Marching Band played.  Continuing to the Lower Cemetery, a salute with rifles finished the ceremony.

Special thanks to all of Parkman Veterans to serving our country!
